Meaning of name:

Unknown.

Distribution:

Occurs in south-western and south-eastern parts of Australia.

Description:

The male damselfly is dark above with blue markings. The female has pale markings.

Notes:

The larvae inhabit pools, lakes, ponds and swamps.

We have photographed this species in February.
