Ardices glatignyi

Common name: Black and White Tiger Moth

Meaning of name:

Unknown.

Distribution:

Found across the southern parts of Australia.

Description:

The moth has a wing length of about 30 millimetres. The caterpillar grows to approximately 40 millimetres long.

Notes:

This species is also known as Spilosoma glatignyi.

We have photographed this species as a caterpillar in August and a moth in May.
