Anigozanthos humilis
Common name: Catspaw
The meaning of the name Anigozanthos is unclear as La Billardiere, who described the species, did not record why he gave the plant this name. It is likely to be derived from the Greek words anisos, meaning unequal and anthos, meaning flower. Humilis is a Latin word meaning low or small.

The roots were eaten raw or roasted.
Occurs from Murchison River to Hopetoun.
A plant to 50 centimetres tall. The red and yellow flowers are produced from August to October.
