



Acacia sessilis
Meaning of name:
Acacia is from the Greek word acis, meaning a pointed instrument. Sessilis is a Latin word, meaning fit for sitting on, in botanical terms it means a flower or leaf growing direct from the stem without a stalk.
Distribution:
Occurs from Geraldton to Yarloop.
Description:
A shrub to 1 metre tall. The yellow flowers are produced from July to October.
