


Acacia huegelii
Common name: Huegel’s Wattle
Acacia is from the Greek word acis, meaning a pointed instrument. Huegelii honours Carl Alexander Anselm, Baron von Hugel (1796 – 1870), an Austrian traveler and naturalist who visited the Swan River and King George Sound in 1833.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia.
A straggling shrub to 1 metre tall. The cream flowers are produced from July to December.
