


Ficinia marginata
Common name: Coarse Club-rush
Ficinia is named after Heinrich David August Ficinus (1782 – 1857), a German physician, botanist and scientist. Marginata is from the Latin word margo, meaning edge, border or margin.
Occurs across much of southern Australia.
A tufted herb to 20 centimetres tall. The flowers are borne from July to October.
This species is also known as Isolepis marginata.
