Meaning of name: Erodium is from the Greek word erodius, meaning heron. Moschatum is from the Greek and Latin word moschos, meaning musk or musk-scented.
Distribution: Occurs from Northampton to Cape Arid.
Description: A herb to 40 centimetres tall. The pink flowers are produced in September and October.
Notes: Native to the Mediterranean.
