Conostylis aculeata

Meaning of name: Conostylis is from the Greek words conos, meaning cone, and stylos, meaning column, botanically, the style. Aculeata is from the Latin aculeatus, meaning furnished with prickles.

Distribution: Occurs from Shark Bay to Albany.

Remarks: A tufted plant to 50 centimetres tall. The yellow flowers are produced in September and October.
