Callitris pyramidalis

Common name: Swamp Cypress

Meaning of name:

Callitris is from the Greek words calli, meaning beautiful, and tris, meaning three. It refers to the leaves being in whorls of three. Pyramidalis comes from the Latin word pyramis, meaning pyramid.

Distribution:

Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia.

Description:

An erect, pyramidal shaped shrub to 3 metres tall. The flowers are inconspicuous. Female seed cones are present on the plant all year.
