Meaning of name: Acacia is from the Greek word acis, meaning a pointed instrument. Pulchella is from the Latin word pulchellus, meaning beautiful and small.

Distribution: Occurs from Coorow to the south coast.

Remarks: A shrub to 2 metres tall. The yellow flowers are produced from June to October.
