Argyrodes antipodianus
Common name: Dewdrop Spider
Unknown.
This spider has mainly been reported from coastal areas of south-western, southern and eastern Australia.
Female Dewdrop Spiders can grow to have a body length of approximately 4 millimetres, but males only reach about 2.5 millimetres.
These spiders are kleptoparasitic, meaning they steal the food of other spiders. They are usually found in the webs of orb-weaving spiders, like Trichonephila edulis.
We have photographed this species in October and December.
