


Thysanotus multiflorus
Many-flowered Fringe Lily
Meaning of name:  
Thysanotus is from the Greek word thysanotos, meaning fringed. Multiflorus is from the Latin words multus, meaning many, and floris, meaning flower.
Distribution:  
Occurs in near-coastal parts of the southwest of Western Australia.
Description:  
Flower stems holding up to 60 flowers each top a tuft of leaves to 30 centimetres long. The purple, fringed flowers are produced from September to January.
