



Viminaria juncea
Common name: Swishbush
Meaning of name:
Viminaria is from the Latin words vimen and inis, meaning withy, osier. It refers to the rush-like stems. Juncea is from the Latin word junceus, meaning made of rushes, rush-like.
Distribution:
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.
Description:
A shrub to 5 metres tall. The yellow and orange-red flowers are produced from October to December.
