Oxalis incarnata

Common name: Pale Wood Sorrel

Meaning of name:

Oxalis is from the Greek word oxaleios, meaning sorrel. Incarnata is from the Latin words in, meaning in relation to, and carnis, meaning flesh-coloured.

Distribution:

Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.

Description:

A ground hugging plant. The pink flowers are produced in winter and spring.

Notes:

This species is originally from South Africa.
