Lobelia anceps

Common name: Angled Lobelia

Meaning of name:

Lobelia is named in honour of Mstthias de l’Obel (1538 – 1616), a Flemish botanist and physician to King James 1 of England. Anceps is a Latin word meaning two-sided, double or two-edged.

Distribution:

Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.

Description:

A herb to 1.2 metres tall. The blue flowers are produced from September to May.
