Gladiolus angustus
Common name: Long Tubed Painted Lady
Gladiolus is a Latin word meaning a small sword, referring to the leaf shape. Angustus is a Latin word meaning narrow.
Occurs throughout the southwest of Western Australia in disturbed sites.
The flower stems are up to 60 centimetres tall. The white flowers have red or purple markings towards their base. The flowers are produced in October and November.
This species is originally from South Africa.
