Diuris corymbosa
Common name: Common Donkey Orchid
Meaning of name:
Diuris is from the Greek words dis, meaning double, and oura, meaning tail, referring to the two hanging lateral sepals. Corymbosa is from the Latin corymbus, meaning a cluster of flowers.
Distribution:
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.
Description:
Brown and yellow typical Donkey Orchid shaped flowers held up to 45 centimetres high from September to October.
