Caesia micrantha
Common name: Pale Grass Lily
Caesia honours Federigo Cesi (1585 – 1630), Italian naturalist said to have been the first to discover the spores of ferns. Micrantha is from the Greek words micros, meaning small, and anthos, meaning flower.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia.
White and purple flowers held up to 35 centimetres above a tuft of dark green leaves. Flowers are produced from September to November.
