Meaning of name: Vicia is from the Latin word vincio, meaning to bind, on account of the tendrils. Sativa is from the Latin word sativus, meaning cultivated, planted.

Distribution: Occurs from Perth to Capel.

Remarks: A scrambling herb. The pink, red, purple or white flowers are produced from September to November. This plant is a native of Europe.
