Meaning of name: Tricoryne is from the Greek words treis, meaning three, and costula, meaning small rib, referring to the nut which is 3-ribbed. Tenella is from the Latin word tenellus meaning somewhat tender or dainty.
Distribution: Occurs from Dongara to the South Australian border.
Description: The stems are up to 45 centimetres long. Yellow flowers are produced from September to January.
