Trichia favoginea
Distribution: Found from Perth to the south coast. Also found around the world.
Description: Small clusters of yellow balls approximately 2 millimetres in diameter.
Remarks: This is not actually a fungus but a species of slime mould. It was photographed in July.
This species was previously known as Trichia affinis.
