Thysanotus arbuscula
Meaning of name: Thysanotus is from the Greek word thysanotos, meaning fringed. The Latin word arbuscula means small tree or shrub.
Distribution: Occurs from Jurien Bay to the Blackwood River.
Description: Erect stems up to 90 centimetres tall. The purple, fringed flowers are held at the end of the stems from September to January.

The inner segments of the inflorescence is deeply fringed while the outer segments have entire margins.
Terminal umbels have 4 to 6 flowers. The plant is densely covered in short hairs.
There are 6 anthers and a single curved style.
The plant has few leaves with erect stems from 280 - 930mm tall. The stems repeatedly branch into 2 about 2/3 of the way above the base.
