Meaning of name: Stylidium is from the Latin word stylus, meaning style, and the diminutive –idium. Schoenoides comes from the genus Shoenus and the suffix –oides, meaning like. It refers to the long narrow leaves.
Distribution: Occurs from Dongara to Hopetoun.
Description: A plant to 40 centimetres tall. The creamy-white flowers are up to 3 centimetres long and produced from August to October.
