Distribution: Occurs just north of Perth to Denmark.
Description: An erect herb to 50 centimetres tall. It produces white to pink flowers on one side of the stem from July to December.
Notes: Native to Europe.

This variety of Silene gallica has dark red spots on the petals.
Leaf and stem clearly show hairs. Glands which secrete a sticky substance can also be seen on the leaves.
This is a rapidly growing annual herb. Reddish stems branch to form a largish clump.
