Meaning of name: Unknown.

Distribution: Occurs around the Perth region and south to Albany.

Description: Males measure up to 15 millimetres long, females up to 27 millimetres. Even as adults they never grow full wings.

Notes: This grasshopper is common in heath shrubbery and at the base of scattered tall trees where there are dead twigs and leaf litter.

We have photographed this species from July to October.
