Distribution: Widespread across most of Australia.
Description: This grasshopper grows to 63 millimetres long. The individual in the photographs is approximately 52 millimetres long.
Notes: This grasshopper can be separated from its relative, Goniaea australasiae, by the position of the notch on the pronotum (the saddle-like structure behind the head). See the side view of the grasshopper (below) to see this notch.
