Distribution: This beetle was introduced into Western Australia from the eastern states. It is also found in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
Remarks: This beetle feeds on nectar. It often congregates where there is mass flowering.
This beetle has been seen in January and March feeding on Verticordia densiflora and Corymbia calophylla flowers.
