Meaning of name: Eriochilus is from the Greek words erion, meaning wool, and cheilos, meaning lip. Dilatatus is a Latin word meaning enlarged or widened.

Distribution: This orchid can be found in Jarrah forest and coastal Banksia woodland between Perth and Albany.

Remarks: This plant has a flower spike up to 45cm tall. It can hold up to 20 individual white flowers from March to June.
