Carcinophora occidentalis 1

Meaning of name: Unknown.

Distribution: Reported from the southwest of Western Australia and around Adelaide, South Australia.

Remarks: This earwig was approximately 15 millimetres long. We have photographed this species between August and February.

A different colour form was known as Gonolabis michaelseni but it is now recognised as being Carcinophora occidentalis.
