Dasypodia selenophoraCommon name: Southern Old Lady Moth

Meaning of name: Unknown.

Distribution: This moth has been found in every state and territory of Australia.

Remarks: This moth has a wing length (nose to wing tip) of approximately 4 centimetres. Its caterpillars feed on plants from the Acacia genus. 

We have photographed this species in November.
