Meaning of name: Dampiera is named in honour of William Dampier (1652 – 1715), English navigator who visited the northwest coast of WA in 1688 and 1699. Linearis is Latin for linear.
Distribution: Occurs from Coorow to Israelite Bay.
Description: An erect herb to 50 centimetres tall. The blue flowers are produced from July to November.
