Drymaplaneta semivittaCommon name: Western Wood Runner
Meaning of name: The meaning of Drymaplaneta is not known. Semivitta is from the Latin words semi-, meaning half, and vitta, meaning a band worn on the head.
Distribution: This cockroach is known from the south-west of Western Australia.
Remarks: It grows up to 25 millimetres long. We have photographed it in December and January.
