Conostylis candicans
Meaning of name: Conostylis is from the Greek words conos, meaning cone, and stylos, meaning column, botanically, the style. Candicans is a Latin word meaning becoming white or whitish.
Distribution: Common on the coastal plain from Shark Bay to Scott River.
Remarks: A tufted plant to 50 centimetres tall with the leaves covered by pale grey hairs. The yellow flowers are produced in August and September.
