Meaning of name: Conospermum is from the Greek words conos, meaning cone, and spermum, meaning seed. It refers to the shape of the nut. The meaning of the name triplinervium is not known.
Distribution: Occurs from Kalbarri to Albany.
Remarks: A shrub or small tree to 4.5 metres tall. The greyish white flowers are produced from August to November. From a distance the flowers give the impression of smoke.
