Meaning of name: Unknown.

Distribution: Established in the Perth area.

Description: This snail grows a shell to approximately 25 millimetres in diameter. Its colour is a uniform green to dark brown. It doesn’t have any bands or other markings. The body is a cream colour.

Notes: This snail has been introduced to Australia and become a pest species. It damages most vegetables, cereals and grasses.

If this snail is found outside the Perth metropolitan area it should be reported to the Department of Agriculture and Food.
