Megachile (Eutricharaea) chrysopyga

Meaning of name: Unknown.

Distribution: Reported from the southern half of Australia.

Description: Approximately 7 millimetres long.

Notes: This bee was seen carrying part of a leaf into a spider’s burrow. We suspect it was building a nest for its young. The bee was photographed as it left the burrow.
